I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
